McHenry West Student Services

The Student Services Department at McHenry High School is dedicated to support each and every student's academic and emotional well-being. Each student is assigned to a counselor, who will offer academic, college/career, and personal/individual counseling.

Social workers and school psychologists are also available for social/emotional support. Students are able to schedule appointments with their counselor, social worker, psychologist, or an administrator when needed.

Student services appointments are during: Study Halls/AIMS, Lunch Periods, or before/after school hours (if a crisis arises).

The District 156 school Safety Tip Line is an anonymous tip line. Messages will be forwarded each day to the appropriate campus and school officials. When you leave a recording, please include as much detail in your message as possible, including the campus you are calling about and accurate names related to your issue. Illinois DCFS
DCFS has the primary responsibility of protecting children through the investigation of suspected abuse or neglect by parents and other caregivers in a position of trust or authority over the child.
