MCHS Change to "On-Track" Credit Status

 
Based on MCHS 24 graduation credits for the class of 2021 and beyond, MCHS is changing "on-track" status to represent this number. Student will have to receive 6 credits annually to remain "on-track" and advance to the next grade level. Opportunities to acquire additional credits at MCHS
A typical student at MCHS may have 6 classes annually if they have a lunch and a study hall. This would put them on pace for graduation if they pass all classes. Students have an abundance of opportunities to acquire additional credits or take desired courses in alternative methods.

A typical student at MCHS may have 6 classes annually if they have a lunch and a study hall. This would put them on pace for graduation if they pass all classes. Students have an abundance of opportunities to acquire additional credits or take desired courses in alternative methods. These examples are as follows:

  • Summer School “Get Ahead” Program (Health, Issues of 21st, Revolutions Throughout History, Consumer Ed, Gov’t and Civics, Spanish III)

  • Summer School remediation and credit recovery for failed

  • Summer School Driver’s Education

  • Zero Hour Courses

  • Registering for Driver’s Education privately

  • Alternative credit programs for deficient students

  • Additionally, about 50% of MCHS student do not take a study hall annually
