The McHenry Girls Tennis Team opened the 2026 season in impressive fashion over the weekend, earning three team victories at the Jacobs 32-Team Invitational.
Leading the way for the Warriors was the first doubles team of Izzie Townsend and Claire Betts, who turned in an undefeated performance throughout the tournament. Their strong play helped McHenry secure wins over Rockford Boylan, Tinley Park-Andrew, and Glenbard North to begin the season with a perfect 3-0 record.
The Warriors received contributions throughout the lineup, with Grace Betts, Lizzie Mueller, Bri Freund, Sophie Vazquez, Braelynn Brunke, Moira Ragan, and Natalia Colin all earning victories during the weekend.
The strong opening weekend gives McHenry plenty of momentum as the Warriors begin the 2026 season and look to build on an encouraging start.
