Homecoming 2025 at McHenry Community High School starts with a Sunday parade and Pack the Point event featuring live music, a pep rally and food trucks.
With the theme "Under the Sea," homecoming continues the following week with dress-up days, Powderpuff football, Friday Night Lights and Saturday's dance at Upper Campus.
Parade float preparation and decorating starts at 10:30 a.m. Sunday at Veterans Park in McHenry. The parade kick's off at 12:30 p.m. using Green Street through downtown to McHenry High School's Freshman Campus.
Parade-goers are then invited to gather at nearby Miller Point for homecoming royalty presentation, a pep rally and recognition of this year's Distinguished Alumni Michael Christensen and Dr. Michael Roberts.
There will be live music from McHenry alum Mac O'Brien and food trucks will be available.

Coordinated each year by the student council, homecoming also features activities throughout the week, such as special activities at school and dress-up days.
The week concludes with the Friday evening football game and Saturday’s dance, “A Night Beneath the Waves.”
