BLACK club members installing posters about well-known Black Americans for Black History Month

Black History Month extends far beyond February in highlighting the importance of Black history as part of American history.

At McHenry Community High School, social science instructors and students in the pilot BLACK (Black Leaders Associate Communicate and Konnect) Club annually create lessons and displays to put the spotlight on contributions of Black Americans during Black History Month and throughout the year.

Please see some of the information shared at school and beyond to reinforce the history of the many contributions of Black Americans on society today.
