On Wednesday evening, MCHS hosted the IHSPLA regional powerlifting meet
The Warrior Powerlifting Club won the overall Team Championship (178 points) over CL South (141), Hampshire (113), Waukegan (105), and Eastland (41). Also, the MCHS girls team took their division title.
Individual division champions are:
- FRANK SMIESKO: (1135 lbs. total) who had an incredible 335 lbs. bench press, which is a personal record.
- BROOKE NEPRAS: (385 lbs. total)
- KIRAH NEILSON: (495 lbs. total)
- RACHEL KREY: (570 lbs. total)
- KAYLEE RAMIREZ: (650 lbs. total)
Very proud of all of the women powerlifters and volunteers on International Women's Day.

This was our last home meet of the season. Looking ahead to earning a bid to the state championships in May.
