McHenry Community High School Science Instructor Leah Pelletier and English Instructor Stacy Rockweiler were honored for being recognized as distinguished advisors at a Thursday (April 14) banquet hosted by the Illinois Directors of Student Activities.
Pelletier, advisor for Student Council, is credited with encouraging record attendance to homecoming dances and overseeing homecoming activities. As sponsor for the McHenry Activism Club, Rockweiler has organized voter registration drives, International Women’s Day events and last year’s recognition of the 50th anniversary of Title IX.
