MTI 2023

More than 300 people attended our annual Manufacturing, Trades and Industry Career Expo on Wednesday to learn about training and career opportunities from more than 35 businesses and educational organizations.

Representatives from participating businesses and organizations say they appreciate the annual event because it is always well attended, and families and students ask great questions.

Exhibitors set up tables throughout the Center for Science, Technology and Industry at Upper Campus to meet with students and families.

The annual event also included several departments at McHenry County College, including apprenticeships and internships, manufacturing, engineering, automotive and more. Instructors and student representatives from McHenry High School’s Industrial Technology department were also on-hand to talk to students about course pathways available.

Some of the participants include Althoff Industries, Fabrik Molded Plastics, Jessup Adhesive Coated Films, Miller Formless, Scot Forge, Burnex Corporation, and many more.

In addition, there will be a health care component to MTI for students interested in biomedical sciences. Representatives from A-TEC Ambulance, McHenry Township Fire District, Shepherd Premier Senior Living and Northwestern Medicine will be available to talk to students and families about biomedical career path opportunities.
