Dear Warrior Family,
We are pleased to inform you that the district will move our student information system to PowerSchool for the 2024-25 school year. We believe this will strengthen our data management system, improve overall user experience, as well as enhance communication between our schools and students and their families.
We chose PowerSchool because the company has grown into an industry leader in education data management by acquiring many education-related platforms, including Schoology. As you may know, our educators and students have been using Schoology for several years to track classroom assignments, tests, and more.
We are hopeful that using PowerSchool will make it easier for families to track their students’ progress and as well as communicate with staff. Our staff has been working diligently to prepare for this transition from Skyward to PowerSchool and to create a seamless system with Schoology.
Through this enhanced connection between PowerSchool and Schoology, students and their families will be able to easily access not only student grades, but attendance, discipline, fees, and payment information in the PowerSchool family portal on desktop computers and mobile devices through the app.
At the beginning of May, all parents and guardians will be issued new PowerSchool credentials to create an account in their new PowerSchool family portal. After creating an account, families will complete the online registration process for the 2024-25 school year. These credentials will come with detailed instructions and must be completed by all new and returning families.
