Artwork by McHenry Community High School senior Annapatricia Cruz will be seen in schools and other public buildings throughout Illinois after Cruz won the Illinois Secretary of State Alexi Giannoulias’ 2024 Organ/Tissue Donor Program Student Poster Contest.
Cruz won both the Overall category, and the 9th - 12th grade category, and Giannoulias honored her and other category winners during a recent reception.
According to the Secretary of State’s website, the winning poster will be reprinted and distributed to schools, libraries and driver facilities throughout the state to encourage organ donation. The contest was open to all school children in kindergarten through 12th grade.
