With a theme of “Better Together,” McHenry High School’s 3rd annual Multicultural Fair in April promises an interactive exhibition of the many cultures represented throughout the community.
More than 35 groups and organizations are already committed to participating, and organizers are still looking for more. Anyone interested in creating a display at the fair can fill out this form.
Set for 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 4, the fair includes live performances, interactive exhibits, a fashion show, along with crafts and other items for sale. Food will also be available from several food truck vendors.
Tables will be set up in and around the Main Gym and surrounding hallways. Organizers hope the Multicultural Fair grows every year.
Kelsey Podgorski, assistant director of multilingual education for McHenry High School District 156, said she is working with the school’s National Art Honor Society to create a very large, community-based/collaborative paint by number where anyone in attendance can paint a spot.
