MCHS Special Olympics athletes competed in the regional track and field meet April 25-26 at Hoffman Estates High School and several qualified for the state Special Olympics Summer Games.

Here are the results:
Stuti Pattanik earned 1st place in the 25m Non-Motorized Wheelchair Race and 4th place in the Tennis Ball Throw.
Stella Franklin earned 1st place in the Tennis Ball Throw.
Sophia Blatzheim earned 7th place in the Tennis Ball Throw.
DaeCorion Leonard earned 1st place in the Mini-Javelin Throw and 1st place in the 50-Meter Run.
Ellie Neuman earned 5th place in the Softball Throw and 7th place in the 50-Meter Run.
Danny Avila earned 5th place in the 50-Meter Run.
Jackson Pilat earned 6th place in the 50-Meter Run.
Patrick Llamas earned 3rd place in the 50-Meter Run and 5th place in the Mini-Javelin Throw.
All 1st place finishers qualify for the state competition in June at Illinois State University.
