Summer construction and renovation work is officially underway throughout McHenry Community High School District 156 properties.
Both roofs at Upper and Freshman campuses are to get solar panel energy systems. At Freshman Campus, the large parking lot behind the school will be renovated to allow for separate bus and family pick-up areas, new landscaping and more.
The following are some of the other projects:
Freshman Campus
New 6,000-square-foot pole barn behind southeast corner of the parking lot
Painting of the gym exterior panels
Upper Campus
Final re-roofing projects to complete replacement at both campuses
Parking lot crack-filling, seal coating and re-striping
Painting of the gymnasium exterior panels
In addition to these major projects, there will be multiple room moves, re-painting and general repair and remodeling on a limited bases.
