The McHenry High School Marching Warriors scored a first-place award in their division and a special effect award for their performance at a marching band competition Saturday at Northern Illinois University.
The MCHS marching band was one of several Illinois high school marching bands to compete in the Red and Black Fall Classic.
The MCHS Marching Warriors band is led by drum majors Lissette Hernandez and Kristi Robinson, color guard captain Yaksi Gonzalez, and percussion captain Conner Daehler.
