Rally for incoming Freshman held at MCHS Freshman Campus

With the opening of school just around the corner, the staff at the McHenry High School Freshman Campus would like to formally invite all of our 9th grade students to the Freshman Rally on Thursday, August 4.  In order to attend this event students must be fully registered which includes proof of residency. During this event we have several important activities planned that will  include

  • A building tour, schedule walk, and locker practice

  • Materials pick-up (textbooks, etc)

  • Chromebook pick-up

  • Student Activities Expo

  • 2022-2023 school pictures taken by VIP Photography

The following details will be important to adhere to in order to  make this event run as smoothly as possible for your child:

  • The rally will take place on Thursday,  August 4 from 2pm-4pm  or 5:30pm-7:30pm.  Students should sign up by Sunday, July 31  for one of the time slots using the following link.  When filling out the Participant Form add student first and last name in the “My Comment” section and parent’s name and email for the other required information.  Input “1” for quantity.

  • **In order to receive class schedule, materials, and Chromebook the online registration process must be complete. This includes proof of residency.  If you are not sure you have completed this process, please contact us.

  • School pictures will be taken. Students should dress appropriately.  No money or order form is needed at the time of pictures. Ordering and payment will all be done online through VIP. Details will be sent home regarding this process at a  later date.

  • In order to receive a Chromebook, the Chromebook Loan Agreement must be signed by the student and a parent and handed in at the time of pick up.

  • Students will have an opportunity to walk through the Student Activities Expo to learn more about MCHS activity offerings and join if they are interested.

  • Students are advised to bring a backpack so they are able to carry items home. They will also have access to their school assigned locker if they choose to leave some things here at school.

If students are not able to make it to the rally on August 4 we will also be holding a materials pick-up and open house on Monday, August 8 from 3pm-7pm.

Please reach out with any questions (HobsonKyle@Dist156.org).  We look forward to seeing everyone on August 4.
