McHenry Strength team raises funds for Special Olympics by pulling a plane

On Saturday, Oct 1, a team of 20 McHenry Strength students pulled a United Airlines 737 plane at O’Hare International Airport to raise money for Illinois Special Olympics.

The team raised about $1,630, which is the largest amount in the five years McHenry Community High School has been participating in the O'Hare Plane Pull.

In the Plane Pull, all types of teams raise funds and then test their strength to pull an aircraft 12 feet as quickly as possible. In addition to high school teams, divisions include public safety, fitness, university and more.
