Our AVID (Advanced Via Individual Determination) program would like to congratulate 13 AVID sophomores for their local finalist speech entries to the AVID National Speaking Contest. They will represent MCHS and the state of Illinois at the contest. Great work! #WarriorReady156
🌲 MCHS Garden Club members assisted the McHenry Garden Club with their annual Holiday Floral Show at Upper Campus Wednesday evening.
The show features local florists creating arrangements, raffles, bake sales and more.

🚣 Mrs. Beattie's aquatic fitness class hosted a cardboard regatta! Students made boats out of cardboard and raced them. Mrs. Cabalquinto's class watched and voted on best design/theme and timed the boats. #WarriorReady156

🎼 This past weekend, two MCHS Band students performed in a regional band festival and then with bandmates at a U.S. Marine Corps. birthday event.
On Sunday, jazz musicians performed at an event in Palatine.

For #VeteransDay2024, local veterans, including a World War II veteran, spent the day with MCHS students at both campuses to share their stories and answer questions.
Coordinated by social science teachers, the annual event brings history to life while honoring veterans. 🇺🇸
We are looking forward to recognizing #VeteransDay2024 by hearing the stories of many local veterans who will be speaking to our students today.
