Erin's Law- sexual abuse and assault awareness
MCHS instructs all students annually on Erin's Law and the dangers of sexual abuse and assault awareness. This is done in 10th grade health classes and in physical education for all grade levels.
Erin's Law" requires that all public schools in each state implement a prevention-oriented child abuse program as part of their Comprehensive Health Program:
For Students: age-appropriate sexual abuse and assault awareness and prevention education in grades pre-kindergarten through 12.
For School personnel (teachers, support staff, assistants, administration): in-service training programs on ... sexual abuse and assault awareness and prevention, and how to recognize and process child sexual abuse and assault.
