Session two of summer school has begun! #WarriorReady156

We are thrilled to see the progress at McHenry Riverwalk Shoppes, a community-wide project that came out of a partnership between MCHS, McHenry Area Chamber of Commerce and the city of McHenry. Our students in engineering, construction, graphics and marketing all contributed to this revitalization of Miller Point Park in downtown McHenry.

MCHS offices will be closed Tuesday in observance of the July 4 holiday. We wish our community a safe and happy Independence Day celebration. #WarriorReady156

On June 19, 1865, Union troops arrived in Galveston, Texas with the news that the more than 250,000 enslaved Black people in the state were free. This day came to be known as #Juneteenth, now officially a federal holiday. Celebrate with @NMAAHC: https://nmaahc.si.edu/juneteenth

There will be no summer school on Monday, June 19 in honor of Juneteenth. Offices will also be closed.

The Consumers course did an activity called Dark Patterns. Students identified twelve common "dark patterns" used by companies on their websites to get individuals to make a purchase. Students were given the terms, definitions and examples they had to organize. #WarriorReady156
