About 25 students attended a presentation from the College of Lake County's Surgical Technology program Monday in the College and Career Center.
The program prepares students to work in clinical settings arranging equipment, preparing operating rooms and more.

The AVID (Advanced Via Individual Determination) class took a field trip to MCC to see what a first step after high school would look like. Students sat in on an astronomy class, learned about how to prepare for college as high school students and took a tour of the campus.

Social science classes at both campuses heard from panelists of veterans on Friday in honor of Veterans Day. We had a great variety of veterans including a World War II veteran! Thank you to all the veterans who came out and took the time to talk to our students!

November is Native American Heritage Month and a time to honor and remember the rich histories and contributions of Indigenous people. Students can check out book collections in the media center at each campus.

Students in the stagecraft class played "Spotlight Tag" with the follow-spots. Students needed to chase their partner with the follow-spot, turning it off when their partner exited the stage, then changing the color of the gel before their partner re-entered the scene.

Seven band students participated in the ILMEA District 7 Senior Festival at Glenbrook South High School. They passed a competitive audition process to be selected alongside the best musicians from local counties. They worked with renowned conductors and then performed a concert.
Congratulations to Danielle Jensen for the 5th-place finish at Class 3A state cross country, and earning back-to-back All-State honors.
Nick Schmitz ran a personal best and finished 64th in his race at state.
