On Thursday night McHenry County College gave an English and Spanish presentation at MCHS. Their representatives gave insight on the many opportunities a student can pursue at MCC. Please reach out to anyone in the MCHS College and Career Center for more information on MCC.
Did we mention we also had a visit from Yukon Cornelius, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and the Abominable Snowman this Winter Spirit Week?

We "wrapped up" our Winter Spirit Week with ugly sweaters, choir carolers and duct tape. Dr. Prickett is a good sport! All of the funds for Duct Tape the Teacher went to Food for Thought, MCHS' food pantry. #WarriorReady156

Artwork created by MCHS art students to commemorate the historic Colby-Petersen Farm will be part of a "Remember McHenry" display Saturday at Hidden Pearl Cafe, 1250 N. Green St., McHenry. The display, sponsored by the
McHenry Landmark Commission, is from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.




On Thursday afternoon, the MCHS Powerlifting Club hosted "Merry Liftmas," a #powerlifting exhibition and #holiday celebration. The McHenry Strength area was decked out for the holidays and club members cheered each other during the powerlifting exhibition.

Members of the MCHS Key Club wrapped about 600 #holiday gifts this week that will be donated to families through a partnership with Rosecrance and Pioneer Center.
The gifts were bought by club members and with a donation from the McHenry Kiwanis Club.

On Wednesday afternoon we celebrated our MCHS staff that is soon retiring. Thank you, JoAnn May, Jackie Huber, Cyntha Hartzburg, Lynda Johanes, and Virginia Robinson for all your hard work through the years!

TOMORROW: In any given year, at least 40% of MCHS graduates begin their next step at MCC. Check out everything MCC offers this Thursday in the Upper Campus Auditorium at 6 p.m. A presentation in Spanish will also be available at the Upper Campus College & Career Center.

Decades Day: Leadership in Action students rocked their 70's outfits while staff had fun interpreting their assignment of 2020. Some wore Zoom outfits while others attempted to dress like the students. Tomorrow is Anything But a Backpack Day!
