
Families are invited to the Freshman Campus for a special event Nov. 18 that includes information for the important freshman school year. It also features a display to help families identify risky behaviors.
The display opens at 5:30 p.m., followed by the presentation.



Students in Jennifer Johnson's Child Development classes have been holding their own donation drive for baby supplies this week. They collected diapers, wipes and new coats for the Diaper Bank of Northern Illinois in McHenry.

Surround Sound and Concert Choir spent Wednesday at Carthage College participating in the Lakeshore Choral Festival. The day included clinics with professors, tours, and performances in Siebert Chapel!
Both choirs were top-placed ensembles among eight other high schools.




Ashley Diedrich, Angela Cristo, Cheryl Myers and Emma Theel have put a lot of work into Food for Thought for the past five and a half years. On Thursday night they celebrated a new permanent space for Food for Thought supplies with a ribbon cutting ceremony. Congrats!





The Upper Campus PE Department is pleased to announce the 1st Quarter Outstanding PE Student Awards!
The students have been selected based on their efforts in demonstrating a positive attitude, participation in activities, work ethic, respect and integrity.

Both campuses' environment clubs had a nice afternoon volunteering on Tuesday. They assisted the Land Conservancy of McHenry County in removing invasive species from Remington Grove in Johnsburg. The clubs are led by MCHS instructors Kaley Freund and Leah Nolan. #WarriorReady156

Recently English students have been acting out "The Crucible." This is their created stage space where students are encouraged to wear character masks, use prompts and interact with each other to bring the play to life. #WarriorReady156



Strength coaches from more than 70 Illinois high schools visited MCHS Friday for the National High School Strength Coaches Association - Illinois Family Day gathering. With the help of strength coach John Beerbower and MCHS strength students, the day included learning sessions with other coaches and strength experts.

Adventure Education has been learning to build fires the past few weeks. The students have been doing a great job and having fun! They finished up their unit showing off their outdoor cooking skills. We'd like to thank Harms Farm for donating the firewood to the classes!
