CELEBRATING A LEGACY: During Friday's last home football games of the season, Athletic Director Barry Burmeister was honored for his 35-year career as an educator, coach and administrator.
Burmeister, who is retiring after this school year, has never missed a home football game.


SPECIAL TOUR: A group of retired MCHS educators took a look around the newly renovated Freshman Campus (formerly East Campus) last weekend. During the last three years, the building has undergone a transformation that includes new flooring, new lighting, new ceilings and more.

Class of 2024 families: MCHS counselors are hosting Sophomore Postsecondary Night on Sept. 21 in the Upper Campus Auditorium. There is a 6 p.m. presentation in English and a 7:30 p.m. presentation in Spanish.

While 8th-graders from our feeder schools were testing, their teachers were able to meet with MCHS math, science, English and social science division leaders and 9th-grade staff at the Freshman Campus. They had a great time sharing information.

The freshmen enjoyed a performance from JLINE Dance Crew on Thursday. JLINE Dance Crew is a NYC based dance crew that tours the country with their anti-bullying program. This was a great start to the freshmen's Upper Campus visit! #StartWithSuccess


TOMORROW (Oct. 14) the Vocal Warriors will be singing multiple genres of music bringing the old and new into the same night. ALL Vocal Warriors will be performing, including freshmen. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Concert begins at 7 p.m. Tickets are $3 per person.


This week, students in Human Body Systems studied the brain by creating clay models and brain hat maps. They labeled major parts and studied their functions.
Next week, they will dissect sheep brains.

On Monday Luke Zoetmulder from Sticker Dude visited Matt Connor’s graphics production class. Sticker Dude makes vehicle wraps, truck lettering, signs, and more. He is looking to team up to help our students learn more of the wrap and design industry. stickerdude.com




A team of 20 McHenry Strength students tested their muscles this morning by pulling at a nearly 90-ton aircraft at O’Hare International Airport.
Their participation in the O'Hare Plane Pull raised $1,464 for Special Olympics Illinois.
