MCHS students in Forensics science classes are becoming investigators as they examine the "crime" scene for clues. The class for juniors and seniors allows students to collect and analyze evidence.
Christopher Agaton, who graduated early in December, left on Tuesday for Marine Corps Recruit Training in San Diego. He will be a Marine Corps Rifleman in the reserves in the Chicago area, and he'll be attending MCC in the fall.

Congratulations to MCHS seniors Isabella Aguilar and Elizabeth Hying for being among 14 winners in the 54th annual DAR Good Citizen Contest by the Kishwaukee Trail Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution.
They'll be honored in a virtual ceremony this Sunday!

Congratulations to Angelica Escobar, a MCHS junior, for meeting all standards to enlist in the Illinois Army National Guard as a 68W Healthcare Specialist.
Angelica plans to use the Guard Grant to pay for tuition for a future career in healthcare.

Students in Mr. Micklinghoff's Principles of Engineering class spent this National Engineers Week designing trusses, and making sure the geometric structures can hold weight. They are planning to build their trusses soon.

This week, Culinary 1 students worked together to make pancakes, the second lab in the course. Students practiced their skills in measuring ingredients, following directions and working collaboratively with partners.

Dr. McTague, Mrs. Pelletier and Mr. Lukas were among at least 220 MCHS teachers, support staff and administrators who signed up to be vaccinated on Friday.

Mr. Molina and Mr. Nierman, MCHS autos and technology instructors, are glad to have some students back in the classrooms for hands-on activities. This week, students and teachers were able to investigate different types of machinery and equipment.
