For the second time in school history, McHenry Strength earned a Program of Excellence Award from the National High School Strength and Conditioning Association.
Programs are evaluated on six key areas, including safety and instructional efficacy.

This summer our projects are:
-Freshman Campus: parking lot redesign, 6,000 sq. ft. pole barn
- Upper Campus: completion of all re-roofing projects, parking lot sealcoating, crack filling and re-striping
- Both Campuses: solar/photovoltaic systems, painting of the gymnasium exterior precast panels

On Wednesday, MCHS German teacher Annette Folden received the County Dual Credit Instructor of the Year award from McHenry County College! Annette Folden teaches the German IV dual credit course where students can earn MCHS credit as well as eight college credits. She was honored at MCC's professional development day for dual credit teachers.

Congratulations to our Tri-M Music Honor Society student chapter for earning national Chapter of the Year recognition from National Association for Music Education. The Tri-M Music Honor Society has chapters worldwide.
At MCHS, Tri-M students host Children's Music Day, Middle School Clinic, CoffeeHouse, and music classes for adjusted learning students.

Twenty-six MCHS students submitted complex parts they made for the annual Precision Machining Competition hosted by the Schaumburg-based Technology and Manufacturing Association.
Of those, nine students placed in the top three, competing against more than 300 submissions from at least 16 area high schools.
