Congratulations to the girls swim team for finishing in 3rd place at the Mermaids Relay meet in Rockford earlier this week.
First-place finishers were Victoria Sadowski, Campbell Bitterman, Allison Tomaszewski, and Emma Blanken.

Junior Gavin Ross, pictured with Mr. Storlie, was recognized for participating in the Manufacturing Pathways Consortium summer internship program at a recent celebration at MCC.
The program offers paid summer internships with about 20 local manufacturing businesses.


On Sept. 14, MCHS is hosting two postsecondary sessions for all students and families.
A college planning session will be held at 6 p.m. in the UC Warrior Room, followed by a workforce training session at 7:30 p.m.
Both will be streamed live the following morning on YouTube.

Mrs. Pelletier’s Medical Residency students took a field trip to mHUB in Chicago on Thursday. mHUB houses MedTech startup companies who are developing innovative medical and surgical devices.

“I can’t even describe it. It was very surreal," senior Alexa Munoz said about learning she is one of 105 students nationwide to win a $25,000 scholarship from the Horatio Alger Association.

At the Freshman Campus Family Engagement Night there will be gear for sale in the cafeteria from 6:30-8:30! Shirts were conceptualized by our Business Marketing students, designed by our Warriors Ink students and are being sold by our Business Professionals of America club.


Food for Thought directors Cheryl Myers and Ashley Diedrich spoke to members of the McHenry/Wonder Lake Lions Club about the MCHS food pantry program at the club's recent meeting.
Thank you to the Lions Club for continued support for Food for Thought and other MCHS programs!


Freshman Campus Art Club met for the first time this year and tattooed bananas with push pins. Tattoo artist and student teacher from ISU, Ivan Hernandez, also came to speak to the students. Students then explored with Bic tattoo markers that are safe for the skin.

More than 600 people, including our students and staff and U.S. Rep. Bill Foster, gathered at MCHS Upper Campus Sunday afternoon to welcome home 63 veterans and their families from the Honor Flight trip to Washington D.C.
Student journalists also returned from covering the trip!
