All of the students at Freshman Campus received a McHenry Warriors t-shirt this week. On Friday, Mrs. Harris’ second period Introduction to Business understood the assignment and wore their new shirts or their game day uniform.

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. On Thursday morning, staff wore gold/yellow and handed out awareness bracelets to students. AVID is a 45-year-old national program that includes an elective class, where the goal is to help students achieve greater success in both the classroom and in their future. This is MCHS' third year as an AVID school.

Jenna Rizzo, math, SPED, and AVID10 elective teacher, became our most recent MCHS AVID Warrior Tuesday, by showing her skills at incorporating AVID strategies in her math classes. She also completed the twelve-hour AVID strategies training. At Freshman Campus, student council promoted homecoming week for #TuesdayTakeover . Dance team took over at Upper Campus. The takeover is an opportunity for every student organization to take over aspects of the school day: greeting students in the morning, promoting their organization during lunch periods, reading announcements and more.
