Over 90 students made sun catchers at Freshman Campus to honor loved ones they lost. The sun catchers are now hung up in classrooms. ☀️

Great job to our students who went to the Illinois Design Educators Association engineering state competition! Everett Putman won first place in 3D machine computer-aided design!

Students made posters encouraging everyone to do their best on the ACT and PreACT this week!

Great job to our Battle of the Beads winners! In honor of Battle of the Bands Friday night, students each got a set of beads during the school day. They play Rock, Paper, Scissors with each other throughout the day to earn beads from their opponent.

Congratulations to our newest AVID Warriors Jennifer Johnson, Araceli Campos, Yesenia Morales and Annette Folden! They completed the twelve-hour AVID strategies training. AVID is a 45-year-old national program that includes an elective class, where the goal is to help students achieve greater success in both the classroom and in their future. This is MCHS' third year as an AVID school.

Freshmen had a fun spring spirit rally! They were encouraged to try their best on the Pre-ACT. They also began a staff versus student tug of war competition that will continue when they come to their Upper Campus visit later this month.

Congratulations to our math students of the month!

These Warriors brought the energy to the annual Adjusted Learning Talent Show! There were jokes, dancing, singing and more! Great job!

Our art students' work is on display at McHenry County College for the Fox Valley Conference art show! The art will be showcased through April 17.

Freshman Campus had a Mini College and Career Fair during lunches on Wednesday. Students were encouraged to ask the representatives questions as they begin to think about their future careers. The annual Upper Campus College and Career Fair will be April 17 during the school day.

The MCHS multilingual department is hosting a Shine Again Event on May 2 at Freshman Campus to collect quinceañera dresses, centerpieces, accessories, etc. in an attempt to donate/resell items for quinceañera events.

In Mrs. Donleson's AP Biology class on Monday, students used beans to calculate Simpson’s Diversity Index, measuring the richness and evenness of ecosystems. 🌿🐜
From sorting tiny organisms to crunching the numbers, they calculated how biodiversity indicates the health of ecosystems. Is their sample site a thriving community or a bit lopsided? The data doesn't lie!

Lil’ Warrior Preschool at McHenry Upper Campus is accepting enrollment for the 2026–2027 school year. The program runs from September through May on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, with morning and afternoon session options available.
