#ThrowbackThursday:
One year ago today, the McHenry Activism Club hosted a group of MCHS graduates and former PE teachers to celebrate 50 years of #Title IX. They talked with students throughout the day about what it was like before and after the landmark legislation.

MCHS dance students are preparing for a free dance show set for 2 p.m. May 10 in the Upper Campus auditorium.
Guests should park in the south parking lot, and students will be there to guide them to the 3rd floor auditorium. Seating opens at 1:40 p.m.

We hope everyone had a fantastic prom on Friday night! Who knew Beauty and the Beast would actually show up? Thank you to Mrs. Steck, Mrs. Adams and the prom committee for planning a fabulous evening! And thank you to our chaperones!

Upper Campus was happy to host our freshmen on Friday morning! Freshmen learned about Upper Campus through tours and other sessions. They ended their time with some fun, which included listening to our staff band, "Staff Infection." Thank you to our upper students for your help!

With April being Alcohol Awareness Month, Student Services has been educating both campuses at lunch periods about the negative effects of alcohol. Students wrote down alternatives to drinking and participated in trivia. Prom goers can also sign a "Safe Prom Pledge."

Read more about all of the opportunities available to our students at last week's College and Career Expo. A smaller event is planned for May 5 at Freshman Campus.
