Mr. Beagle and Mr. Vallianatos visited Althoff Industries to discuss potential partnerships. They were given a tour by Mr. Bennett who is the Executive Vice President and an MCHS Distinguished Graduate class of '62.





The Freshman Choir represented MCHS at the annual FVC Choral Festival on April 7. They sang three songs and had two separate clinics with Dr. Roger Sinclair of Vandercook. Students made their presence known as the only freshman mixed ensemble in attendance. #WarriorReady156

Eleven students from the Class of 2022 earned a Seal of Biliteracy for English and Spanish, and one of those students also earned a Commendation for a Seal of Biliteracy in French.

Surround Sound met with South Elgin HS and the professional choir Cor Cantiamo to work on the Faure Requiem. This is a 35 minute long masterpiece that will be performed by these singers as well as chamber orchestra on Sunday, April 24 in the First United Methodist Church in Elgin (216 E Highland Ave, Elgin). Members of the MCHS Foundation board surprised this year's Distinguished Graduate award winner Betty (Heard) Thompson 68'. Betty was an iconic educator for D15 for 34 years teaching K-3 at Edgebrook School. Betty has had numerous service activities over the years sitting on the D15 Foundation Board, the VFW Auxillary, and the American Legion Auxillary. Betty will be honored at numerous events in the coming year. Thank you Betty! Your school and community is proud of you!
