Our BRIDGES transition program's Across the Bridge store hosted a McHenry Area Chamber of Commerce Mid-Day Mixer. Chamber members played bingo, were taught crafts and checked out the store. The Across the Bridge store will be open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on Black Friday, November 28. They are located at 1774 N Richmond Rd. McHenry, IL. Come check out their holiday items!

Adaptations to our freshman biology curriculum and classroom methods will include differentiated stations where students will work through learning activities and rigorous extensions. Students will have the ability to earn honors credit at the end of each semester if they complete additional requirements.

Our current pathway for French III has been modified with MCC so that two additional semesters are added for dual credit during Honors French III and Honors French IV. MCC FRE 155 French for Conversation I and FRE 255 French Conversation II will each be worth 3 credits starting in 2026-2027.

Congratulations to our newest AVID Warriors! They completed the twelve-hour AVID strategies training. AVID is a 45-year-old national program that includes an elective class, where the goal is to help students achieve greater success in both the classroom and in their future. This is MCHS' third year as an AVID school.

On Thursday, we hosted the Fox Valley Conference Super Fan meeting. Students representatives from the schools in the Fox Valley Conference, including MCHS students, discussed sportsmanship and fan expectations for the winter sports season. They also reflected on what went well in the fall.
