Jenna Rizzo, math, SPED, and AVID10 elective teacher, became our most recent MCHS AVID Warrior Tuesday, by showing her skills at incorporating AVID strategies in her math classes. She also completed the twelve-hour AVID strategies training. AVID is a 45-year-old national program that includes an elective class, where the goal is to help student achieve greater success in both the classroom and in their future. This is MCHS' third year as an AVID school. Congratulations, Ms. Rizzo!

The takeover is an opportunity for every student organization to take over aspects of the school day: greeting students in the morning, promoting their organization during lunch periods, reading announcements and more.

Freshmen have been attending Freshmen Warrior Camp, where they participate in team-building activities led by our senior leaders. They also learn what it means to be a Warrior, by learning about the Distinguished Warrior program, learning the fight song and more.
