Regular attendance is essential for our Warriors to be succesful. Truancy and chronic absences are sometimes mistaken to be the same. However, this chart from Attendance Works explains some of the major differences. Remember, every day matters! #WarriorReady156 Learn more about the definitions of truancy and chronic absences here: https://www.attendanceworks.org/whats-the-difference-between-chronic-absence-and-truancy/

Truancy vs. Chronic Absence. Truancy: Counts only unexcused absences - Emphasizes compliances with school rules. - Relies on legal administrative solutions. Chronic Absence - Counts all absences: excuse, unexcused and suspensions. Emphasizes academic impact of missed days. -Uses community based, positive strategies.
