Mrs. Dunn, Mrs. Hines, Mrs. Hobson, Mr. Zerndt, and Mr. Wiersma. became the first to earn the MCHS honor of being an AVID Warrior by completing the twelve-hour AVID strategies training. AVID is a 45-year-old national program that includes an elective class, where the goal is to help student achieve greater success in both the classroom and in their future. This is MCHS' third year as an AVID school. Congratulations!

This past weekend, 28 Key Clubbers volunteered at the regional Special Olympics bowling tournament. For students interested in joining the community service based club this year, their first meeting will be Tuesday, August 19 at 7 p.m. in the Upper Campus auditorium.

The Freshman Rally and first Upper Campus Material Pickup day are THIS Thursday, July 31. Freshmen must sign up for a time slot. Principal Sterner previously sent an email with the sign-up link. Yearly enrollment must be complete before pick-up days or the Freshman Rally. Students' school pictures will be taken at these events.
