During Wednesday's White Coat Ceremony, MCHS alum Amy (Smulski) Druml, Class of 1994, was named this year's Distinguished Graduate.
Vice president and chief nurse executive for Northwestern Medicine's McHenry and Woodstock hospitals, Druml has helped shape our biomedical science program.

Congratulations to our biomedical science students honored Wednesday during the White Coat ceremony. Twenty-six students completed all MCHS biomedical science courses to receive white coats.
Also, 22 students were celebrated for earning their Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential through MCHS. A total of 32 students got their CNA designation this year.
The evening also included recognitions for students who earned all As in their biomedical science courses and those who participated in the HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) club.

Students in dual credit chemistry measured pH levels by noticing the color. Red cabbage juice was used as the indicator and changed color depending on what was mixed with it.

Work is underway at Freshman Campus to improve the back parking lot to create a separate bus lane, and add landscaping and walkways. It is part of an overall effort to modernize high school buildings.
“I’m excited about the changes,” Freshman Campus Principal Sean Sterner said. “What I really like is the additional greenery and landscaping.”

Sophomore students in our AVID elective class visited UW-Whitewater on Tuesday. They toured campus, attended an information session and participated in activities in the student center.

Freshman Campus had their Upper Campus sneak peak Friday where they toured the campus and learned more about what sophomore year will be like. They ended their time with a dodgeball tournament!
Warrior Chef students Maddie and Megan competed in the McHenry County College high school culinary competition. Congrats on doing such a fantastic job making a dish the judges loved! They received fourth place!
Congratulations to the boys team for winning the McHenry County track and field meet for the first time since 2014! They won it at home on McCracken Field.
Nick Valenziano and Tim Kirk's students were honored for being Business Professionals of America state award recipients at Monday's board meeting. Senior Ariel Montes was honored for being a practicum in accounting student at Eccezion this semester. Great job, everyone!
