McHenry High School continues to innovate and expand curricular offerings. Proposed plans for the coming years include:

• Add additional Advanced Placement courses such as AP Environmental Science

• Add a journalism and broadcast media pathway

• Expanding our current Project Lead the Way Engineering Courses

• Adding Project Lead the Way Computer Science Programming

• Explore and add Project Lead the Way Biomedical Science Program

• Partner with Centegra Health System to add a Medical Residency Program

• Add a business capstone course for future business leaders

• Redesign our existing manufacturing, woods, and construction CTE pathways

• Continue to partner with our business community to provide career experiences

• Research and implement new instructional methodologies such has blended and self-paced, personalized learning in several courses
