We are incredibly proud of our social science instructor Kathryn Larson for receiving the Illinois State Board of Education’s Award of Meritorious Service Early Career Educator. This honor recognizes how she has gone above and beyond in our school community. Congratulations!

On Thursday, MCHS students enrolled in Dual Credit Incubator visited McHenry County College for a Introduction to Entrepreneurship course field trip. While at MCC, they heard a speech from Dr. Sherry Ridge (Business Department Chair), attended a dual-credit presentation from MCC advisors, and received a full campus tour.


Great job to our sophomores on the poetry slam! Congratulations to our winners!

It was all fun and games during introduction to business class at Freshman Campus. Students had fun while applying the profit equation to the classic board game Monopoly. This is just one of the many hands-on learning activities students experience while taking a business class.



Congratulations to Jennifer Beattie and Emma Demilta! They completed the twelve-hour AVID strategies training. AVID is a 45-year-old national program that includes an elective class, where the goal is to help students achieve greater success in both the classroom and in their future. This is MCHS' third year as an AVID school.


Nearly 100 industrial technology students visited McHenry County College to explore trades programs and opportunities in their Center for Advanced Technology and Innovation building.









Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) gave some healthy tips during lunches in honor of American Heart Month.❤️
MCHS students have the opportunity to earn college credits while in high school! The career and technical education division offers several dual credit classes including dual credit computer literacy. The course is offered at both campuses.
