MCHS seeks to encourage all students to select their electives with their futures and career interested in mind. MCHS teachers and administrators use a variety of data to determine the most appropriate core course for each student.

Placements into the next core content class is dependent on student academic skills. MCHS hopes to expose all students to rigorous coursework. Each placement impacts the students' future opportunities and potential access to honors, AP, and dual credit courses. We hope that parents play a very involved role and this page serves as a hub of resources for the placement and course selection process.
