The stagecraft class experimented with elements of light. They used color gels, flashlights, and light diffusers to compose a scene centered around an assigned mood, such as cheerfulness or envy. They investigated how distance, angle color, and placement affect the stage picture.

In honor of National Bullying Prevention Month freshmen had the opportunity to write thank you notes to anyone of their choosing and make friendship bracelets during lunches. Freshmen made their ofrenda creations. An ofrenda is celebrated in Latin American culture and is traditional during Day of the Dead (Día de los Muertos) to honor loved ones who have passed away. Elements are placed on altars that symbolize different parts of life and death.

Dean Mr. Deener was a model for a demo in 3D stage makeup application in Mr. Hillier's stagecraft class! Mr. Hillier applied blemishes like warts or boils, a fake beard, mustache and scarring. For comparison, the final photo is what Mr. Deener looks like without the makeup.
