AVID is a 45-year-old national program that includes an elective class, where the goal is to help students achieve greater success in both the classroom and in their future. This is MCHS' third year as an AVID school.

Freshman Campus closed out Hispanic Heritage Month with a Grito de Independencia, inspired by the battle cry for Mexico's independence in 1810. There is no school and offices are closed Monday, October 13 in honor of Columbus Day and Indigenous Peoples Day.

Thank you to everyone involved in Wednesday night's Manufacturing Trades and Industry Expo! We had a great turnout of students exploring different options in manufacturing, trades, healthcare and more. We were happy to see high schoolers, middle schoolers and even some elementary students! This weekend will be a four-day weekend for students. Friday is a Teacher Institute Day. Monday there is no school in honor of Columbus Day and Indigenous Peoples Day.

Join us Wednesday night at the Manufacturing, Trades and Industry Expo at Upper Campus! MCHS had 22 graduates from the Class of 2025 report that they would be pursuing employment/career paths with companies or unions who attend the MTI Expo. This is a great opportunity for students interested in manufacturing, trades or healthcare. Happy #ManufacturingMonth !
