Upper Campus was happy to host our freshmen on Friday morning! Freshmen learned about Upper Campus through tours and other sessions. They ended their time with some fun, which included listening to our staff band, "Staff Infection." Thank you to our upper students for your help!






With April being Alcohol Awareness Month, Student Services has been educating both campuses at lunch periods about the negative effects of alcohol. Students wrote down alternatives to drinking and participated in trivia. Prom goers can also sign a "Safe Prom Pledge."

Ten sophomore/junior students were nominated by staff to attend a team building day at Lake Geneva Zipline Adventures. They got to interact with student leaders from all ten schools in the Fox Valley Conference and brainstorm ways to lead successful events in their schools.

Congrats to Jacob Jensen on his second place finish at the Illinois Design Educators Association state competition on Saturday! He was competing in the extremely competitive Assembly Modeling category. Great effort by all of our attendees! #WarriorReady156



Warrior Student Media came away with fourth place at Friday's IHSA Journalism State Tournament in Normal.
This follows a second-place finish at sectionals.

Congratulations to our Students of the Month at Freshman Campus for January and February!


Students in Mrs. Dunn's College and Career Seminar toured MCC on Monday and got to learn about all the programs and classes available, went on a tour of the campus, and took part in career research and trivia competitions. #WarriorReady156









On Thursday students participated in the College and Career Expo at Upper Campus. We had over 100 exhibitors available to talk to students including four-year colleges, two-year colleges, trade schools and the military. The Freshman Campus Mini College and Career Expo is May 5.






American Studies students went on a local history field trip. They visited Petersen Farm, Woodland Cemetery and went on a tour of McHenry landmarks. #WarriorReady156

Congrats to Colonel Robert Heatherly class of 1998 for being one of our 2023 inductees to the Hall of Distinguished Graduates! He has served in the United States Army since 2002, rising to the rank of Colonel by the time of his induction as a Distinguished Graduate.


Congrats to David Lawson class of 1974 for being one of our 2023 inductees to the Hall of Distinguished Graduates! David has served on the District 15 and District 156 school boards, as well as the McHenry City Council as an Alderman for Ward 4. He also was a CFO here at MCHS.

State champion wrestler Chris Moore and wrestling Coach Dan Rohman were honored for the amazing wrestling season during Monday’s District 156 board of education meeting. The Northwest Herald named Moore Wrestler of the Year and Rohman Wrestling Coach of the Year.
